LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Julia Hart ("The Keeping Room") has been hired to write the screenplay for Warner Bros. feature film, "Beautiful Disaster," a person familiar with the negotiations told TheWrap.
The studio acquired the rights to Jamie McGuire's novel of the same name this summer for Donald De Line, left, to produce. A New York Times bestseller, the story revolves around a young woman trying to leave her past behind and start a clean-cut life when she goes to college.
Her plans are disrupted by a young man, described as a "walking one-night stand," who makes a bet with her: If she loses she must live in his apartment, and if he loses he must abstain from his fun-loving ways for a month.
Hart is also writing the script for the upcoming Civil War drama "The Keeping Room," with Olivia Wilde, Hailee Steinfeld and Nicole Beharie. Hart is represented by WME.
